Thank you for promoting our school Open House last Monday. We registered a good number of students for September. The school continues to accept registrations for September. We offer a three-year-old nursery program, four-year-old Pre-K; both have full or half day, and full-day Kindergarten all with the option of after-school care. 8. The Annual Family Festival will be held Saturday, October 4; it is two weeks earlier than usual, so we are distributing the raffle tickets and information letter earlier. They are available before and after all the Masses this weekend and next in the parking lot vestibule. Please stop by and pick them up. Extra tickets are also available. Thanks for helping us out.
Adult Confirmation classes and the information night for those who might like to become members of our Catholic Church will begin in a few weeks. Please spread the word about these two programs. up forms at the bottom of the page. The form can be placed in the collection.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD: We will resume in September.
EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: Every first Friday of the month from after the 7:00 AM Mass and concludes with Benediction at 11:45 AM. A funeral could interrupt this schedule.
TELEVISED MASS: The “Table of the Lord” has moved to a new time and station. Each Sunday, the mass is televised at 7:00 AM on station CW15. Those who do not have cable can see the Mass on Channel 45-1. The Mass is rebroadcast at different times later on Sunday on various cable access channels. Check local listings.

BISHOP’S APPEAL UPDATE: After the tenth week, we have $103,949 pledged from 463 donors. We need the support of everyone to continue the works of Christ across our 14 county Diocese. The Appeal provides services that no one parish could provide. Our parish share of Diocesan expenses is $99,000. If we have not heard from you please put your gift in the collection or mail it to the rectory. Envelopes are available at all the exits. We have reached our share of expenses. Thank you. Additional gifts help support so many good works.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: St. Peter’s Hospital is in need of volunteers to bring communion to patients. Training is provided. Please contact Amanda Weller, Volunteer Recruiter, at 525-1002 to schedule an interview.
SPIRITUAL CARE VOLUNTEERS: Albany Memorial Hospital is looking for volunteers to help visit patients and distribute Holy Communion for an hour or so on Sundays mornings. Please call Fr. John Kelly, 471-3117 if you are interested.

THRIFT STORE: open Wed & Sat, 10:00-1:00 pm. Items that are clean and in good working condition can be dropped off when the store is open. We have many great bargains. Stop in & check us out. Come& see our extensive inventory of Christmas decorations and trees.
FOOD PANTRY: Our Food Pantry served 258 families in May (269 children; 8 under the age of one; 481 adults; 42 over age 65). Our cost for food was over $3,700. This only happens through your generosity in contributions to the poor boxes and donation of grocery items. Please consider donations of toothpaste, shampoos, disposable razors or baby cereal. Thank you so much for your support.
KNIT, CROCHET OR QUILT?: Our ministry is implemented. Newly Baptized children have received the blankets you have supplied. We congratulate our newly baptized and thank you very much for your dedication and prayers to this ministry. Please continue to “supply” your blankets in order for us to continue this ministry. PRAYER BLANKET MINISTRY: for our brothers and sisters living in our local nursing homes to be delivered around Christmas. The warm embrace they give is symbolic of the prayers we offer for them, especially those prayers we pray while making them. They can be any color and any style (knitted, crocheted, quilted, etc.). A good size is 18” x 72”. Please contact Sr. Jude or Rose Reed for more information.
COLONIE CENTER SCHOOL BUCKS: Any purchases can be registered in the name of our school. Receipts must be registered at the Service Desk next to CVS within 60 days of the purchase. Please help our school win cash prizes by registering your receipts in our school name. You helped us win in the past & we appreciate your support. Invite others to help us. If you would like to have one of our volunteers register your receipts, please put them in the collection or leave them at the rectory in an envelope with your name & address on it. You can pick them up at the rectory, or we can mail them if you have a stamp on the return envelope. You can register receipts from all stores & restaurants in the Center, as well as the Post Office. We are grateful for your support.
SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: We will be accepting school supplies for the students of our school beginning now through August. Items that will help our school children include Composition notebooks, spiral notebooks, loose leaf paper, soft binders, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, rulers, compasses, protractors, colored folders and glue sticks. These can be placed in boxes that will be at the Church entrances. Special sales will begin in stores very soon. Keep an eye out for these items to help our children. Amy Fredette, who just graduated from Holy Names, is coordinating this project.
